Shooting Meteors?

It was a clear night last night, and very cold.  I thought it might be a good time to take time exposures of the eastern sky with hopes of getting pics of the Quadrantid meteors.  I took 101 8 second exposures.  In the first one, you can see the red flashing lights of an airplane.

Rats.  Well, I went through all of the other 100 photos and didn't see one meteor.  I did see another airplane, which you can see in the stacked photos in the pic below.

In other news, it looks like we might be leaving here for points south on Friday.  The motorhome is operational, Jeremiah loses his stall by Saturday, and it's colder than a well digger's ass here in Bleecker.  It's time!

  1. Wow, you mean like tomorrow Friday? Safe travels you guys. Post when you can.

  2. We will look forward to your RV adventures. Safe travels to "Driftaway On Wheels"!!
