Crones' Cradle Conserve

Pam and I are settling in here in Florida.  Since we're destined to spend another year here without returning to New York, we may as well learn what's about.  One thing that we found is Crone's Cradle Conserve, which is basically a hippie type of commune that is thriving.  They have 756 acres in Citra, Florida.  The vast majority of it stays untouched with only a hundred or so acres used for housing and growing crops.  All crops are organically grown, of course.

Pam and I split a weekly basket of fresh vegetables and eggs with friends Carolyn and John.  You never know what is going to be in the basket, which is fine by us.  We Yankees can't identify half the stuff anyway.  How many of you have eaten Cherokee Lettuce, for example?

The store is always open, although no one is inside.  If you want to buy something, you ring a bell.

Little ponds and fountains are everywhere.

It wouldn't be Florida without oranges.

We plan on returning this Saturday for this event.
